► Choose the type of buckle clasp you need from the menu drop-down (BOTH versions will look just like the version shown in the main collar photo on this product page):
• BREAKAWAY — Most common for cat collars
• NON-BREAKAWAY — most common for dog collars or cats who tend to snap off the breakaway buckles (choose this type if using a leash)
► What is a Breakaway buckle?
Breakaway (Examples such as "safety / quick release") buckles are the most common type found on cat collars and are designed to auto-release if tugged on with a certain amount of force, to ensure an emergency 'getaway' if your pet is caught on something.
► NON-Breakaway buckles DO NOT auto-release. The only way to open them is to pinch the side releases to unclasp the buckle. This is the most common type used for dog collars.
► Please do NOT order a breakaway collar if you plan to walk your pet on a leash with the same collar — Select the non-breakaway option if this is the case (whether for a dog or cat).
